Lesson-07

When running a website, it’s important to allow team members to contribute while keeping control over key areas. I created a custom “Staff” role for my site, which lets users create and edit content without the ability to delete posts, themes, or plugins. This strikes the right balance between access and security.

Staff can still edit posts, pages, and upload files, but they won’t have permission to remove anything essential to the site’s functionality. For example, they can modify certain themes or blog post but they cant uninstall or modify important plugins that keep the website working. This setup keeps the site safe while still letting staff members be productive.
